Korean edtech startup Letitu, which operates the platform ‘The Pond’, helps students with admissions to American colleges, had an overwhelming start when it launched its services in March 2022. The Pond’s web version saw the number of student subscribers for the US admissions exceed 13,000 in just three months of its launch.

The Pond is an online platform that supports students by providing an optimal college admissions roadmap based on information such as student grades, desired majors, region and tuition level of selected universities in the United States.

The AI-driven platform provides a personalized roadmap for US college admissions by matching data from previous successful college applications along over 70,000 data points about 6,700 universities across the United States. In addition, based on the individual data provided by students, it is possible to accurately guess what their options are for attending different colleges.

Letitu CEO Dahoon Lee said in a media report, “We got 13,000 student subscribers for the US within 90 days of launch with the web version alone. The number of subscribers is expected to exceed 50,000 by the end of this year. We are adding a discussion channel, and the mobile app is scheduled to be released in October.”

Letitu is an edtech startup dedicated to helping high school students plan their education and providing a full range of tools to help with everything related to university entrance, from time planning, essay guidance, customized curriculums, and discussion areas, to college application advice and help.

The online platform provides school curriculum-related learning and exam-related information solutions. The platform offers online courses in math, chemistry, and biology. The platform also provides information on college entrance exams, such as the SATs.

The company was selected for numerous startup support programs including IBK Changgong Innovation Startup Company, CNT Tech Youth Entrepreneur Foundation Technology Guarantee Fund Social Venture Fostering Project, Gyeonggi Startup Hub Global Accelerating Program, and Born2Global Center Overseas Expansion Intensive Growth Camp.
