Korean startup PMX is a digital health company that delivers personalized physical examinations through the democratization of medical imaging with AI. PMX has developed a multi-modality imaging platform to measure the major vital organs and tissues of the body for universal care and wellness.

Founded in March 2020, PMX is a medical AI startup that provides deep learning-based medical image analysis, developing healthcare diagnostic products through AI technology and AI solution services for diagnosis. Since its inception, PMX has been selected in 12 national projects. It mainly possesses technology specialized in the accelerating image acquisition, quantitative image processing, and intuitive reporting of medical images from modalities such as MRI and CT. The company focuses on AI-assisted solutions for addressing Neuro-cognitive disorders. BrainOMX is an automated MRI screening for managing and handling diseases like Alzheimer, dementia, and Parkinson.

PMX product pipeline is designed such that it does not distract or change the existing radiological workflow, instead, it improves the current one by connecting the chain of acquisition, processing, and reporting system. PMX’s main product, BrainOMX, is an AI-based Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) that quantifies brain structure, analyses brain function during MRI screening, and enhances the accuracy of diagnosis of degenerative brain diseases. BrainOMX works as an efficient solution for early assessment of the onset of diseases such as dementia.

BrainOMX performs a rapid dementia screening in 15 minutes with no image trade-off. This solution works as a one-stop solution which provides patient-friendly reports containing quantitative analysis of structural and functional brain with authentic images. The vision of the product is to improve global access to MRI imaging and enable risk assessment of upcoming global pandemics like- dementia and other mild-cognitive diseases.

PMX core engineering is focussed to build a multi-modality platform which is used to scale other solutions like CT-based lung analysis and non-radiological applications for overall fitness and performance enhancement in Sports using whole-body MRI. The breakthrough technology of PMX was selected as one of the ‘Top 5 AI solutions impacting Healthcare’ announced by a global start-up analysis platform, StartUS insights.

PMX has established a US branch in Chicago which is focusing on research and development as well as US operations while proceeding with the FDA approval process to enter the US market. The company has expanded its global channels by participating in the biggest annual international radiology conference, RSNA. PMX showcased its products at the RSNA conference 2021 in Chicago, USA.
