The Korean domestic interior designing market is growing rapidly at about 11% CAGR, and there are many interior design companies centered on renovations and home styling. But when it comes to budget and styling tiny homes or single-person houses, those interior companies are not feasible.

Korean startup Interior Co., Ltd. has developed a  platform, ‘Interior Teacher,’ that connects customers and designers who want home styling; customers can check their space in 3D through non-face-to-face surveys and services and purchase furniture at any budget.

Choose your style, designer & budget

Interior Teacher’s service is provided to the client through a simple process, where the client can upload the photo of the space they want to design with the description of basic measurements. The client can give details about existing furniture and the budget for purchasing new furniture. Interior Teacher also suggests that clients send in design styling references if they have any.

Interior Teacher’s platform includes realistic 3D designs and detailed descriptions of the stylizing for the client’s house. The platform also lists out recommended furniture that can be purchased online. The platform allows the user to check the designer’s portfolio and receive design services after a successful consultation.

Interior Teacher was launched in early 2021, and within ten months of the time, it has about 272 design cases. Every month there are about 40 design consultation matches happening through the platform. Interior Teacher’s primary revenue comes from furniture sales commissions and design commissions.

The startup has been selected for its innovative service for several competitive and ceremonial plaques and TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for startup Korea). The company wants to expand to styling service to new high-end apartments and under construction homes

By 2023, Interior Teacher wants to upgrade the current platform, expand the marketplace, and have additional human resources & marketing for AI design development for which the startup is fundraising.
