The number of pet parents has been growing rapidly. As of 2019, 26.4% of households are estimated to have companion animals. This equals to 5.91m of households with 14m of people. Millennial pet parents spend not only more money but time to understand their companion animals better. However, there has been no community or content platform that meets their needs with quality content. Therefore, many pet parents especially who just adopted pets spend so much time searching information or tips from other people.
BEMYPET, with mission of For My Happy Furry Friends, provides informative content in text and video formats. Our MAU is over 890k, and it shows pet parents demand quality informative content. We solve the problem via content, and aim to aggregate commerce and services within our content-based platform.
Our business model is to acquire users via content and convert them towards commerce and services. Content is highly efficient way to engage loyal customers, so we have been focusing on securing our fan base via original content. With a mobile app focusing on content search/curation, we aim to become the top content app in pet space and expand into commerce and services.
Global pet industry has been steadily growing and estimated to be USD 223.1bn as of 2019. Global pet content market is estimated to be more than USD 4bn, and expected to grow rapidly given the lifestyle of millenial/Z generations and the strong demand in digital content. However, just a few companies have penetrated the market and there has been no scaled up winner yet. Our goal is targeting global market with BEMYPET’s Originals.
