What began as a venture into the world of Korean Education via its Learning Textbook series: Korean For All and its channels with a million fans has now evolved into an extraordinary digital journey as Soo and Carrots Inc., a Korean startup, takes the concept of a super-app to the next level. The company, founded by visionary entrepreneurs, is revolutionizing how foreign travelers experience South Korea with their all-in-one app, Soo House, designed to facilitate travel to Korea and Korean language learning.

Soo House, aptly named to evoke a sense of welcome and community, is a remarkable app that offers many services to enhance the travel experience in Korea. It combines Travel Buddy Matching, a Forum for social interaction, Game-alike Korean Language Learning Tools, and Online Travel Agency (OTA) services, making it an essential tool for anyone planning to travel to Korea.

Connecting Travelers and Enriching Travel Experiences
Soo House plans to lead as a community-driven super-app designed to enhance every aspect of a traveler’s experience when planning to travel to Korea. It wants to enable users to find companions, chat with fellow travelers, make friends, and even organize events within the app’s vibrant community. Language barriers are effectively overcome through educational content, translation tools, pronunciation guides, and quizzes.

Moreover, Soo House offers valuable information on travel plans, unique experiences when traveling to Korea, and curated videos, ensuring travelers have access to all the resources they need to make their journey in Korea unforgettable.

At its core, Soo House is a haven for language enthusiasts, particularly those interested in learning Korean. The app provides an array of well-developed Korean Language Lessons, targeting essential skills such as Vocabulary, Grammar, Pronunciation, and Conversation. Users can level up their Korean listening skills with easily accessible quizzes and audiobooks, learning from native speakers’ pronunciation while tracking their progress.

One of the app’s standout features is its focus on practicality when learning Korean. It equips users with the necessary vocabulary to navigate various aspects of  life in Korea, from ordering at a local restaurant to understanding Korean culture. Through numerous conversation practice modules, users can become adept in real-life situations, making their stay in Korea more immersive and enjoyable. Furthermore, the app ensures users become experts in Korean grammar, all while providing entertaining insights into Korean culture via webtoons.

Soo House also introduces a unique gamification element to Korean language learning, allowing users to earn points as they progress. These points can be used to customize profiles, unlock various perks, or even purchase Korean items, adding an element of reward and motivation to the Korean language learning process. The app is available in four languages: English, French, Spanish, and Japanese, catering to a global audience of travelers and Korean language enthusiasts.

Soo House’s Global Expansion Roadmap

The app began in July 2023 with a BETA launch, attracting an impressive Monthly Active User (MAU) base of  7,900. Soo and Carrots Inc., the innovative Korean startup behind Soo House, has also established partnerships with various companies in Korea, including Korean language schools, accommodation providers, visa consultancies, guided tours, K-Beauty services, and various activities to offer travelers a seamless experience during their travel to Korea.

Looking ahead, Soo and Carrots Inc., the pioneering Korean startup has ambitious plans to expand globally, adding more destinations in Asian countries such as Japan, Thailand, and Southeast Asian nations.

This will be achieved by a dedicated global team with a common mission: to enhance the experiences of foreign travelers through our technology, content, and community. The Soo and Carrots team is diligently working towards making Soo House the ultimate traveler’s app in the near future.
