Korean startup AIET Co., Ltd. is developing devices, software, and services using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to offer smart security solutions. The company wants to help consumers connect with unique biometrics experience.

IRIS Recognition Access Control Devices

AIET Co., Ltd. has already developed few products and is in the process of developing advanced versions. AIET’s product range includes IRIS Recognition Access Control Devices – Iris Algorithm and Iris, Object, Facial recognition Modules, and RDKs. AIET has a standard IRIS Recognition Access Control Device and another advanced with CCTV type function. The IRIS range has a dongle type security solution and a smart doorbell type device with the camera module option. The physical security products offer a long-range (1.5m~2m) dynamic target vision with iris recognition technology.

Developing advanced products & solutions

AIET is now developing DOS (Distant Object Screening type) Iris, and Facial Recognition Technology and Access control device with exclusive technology that sets the capture volume space; DOS zone (1 cubic meter), and automatically recognizes the shape and the Iris in the face. Existing iris recognition technology uses the non-contact authentication method required in various on/offline environments and devices. AIET’s DOS technology is different from the current general iris recognition method. The core technology of AIET’s DOS (Distance Object Scanning) recognizes moving objects from a distance. The company has developed a prototype and is in the process of more research and development

AIET is also developing a walk-thru type smart gate with its parent company, Commax. Equipped with iris recognition, CCTV, and voice recognition, this smart gate will be installed in major institutions’ facilities, buildings, and intelligence buildings. The startup is also developing iris recognition, face recognition, and abnormal behavior detection devices for pets. This project is in collaboration with Bowraum, the best animal hospital center in South Korea. Besides, AIET is also working for hardware development and plans to launch Camera Gun-Type Dual Camera and Mobile phone-mounted zoom lens type camera.

AIET Co., Ltd. is participating in the third edition of the “TIPS X beSUCCESS Korean startup showcase” to be held online on September 23-24,2020. TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for startup Korea) is South Korean government-backed incubator, and beSUCCESS is Korea’s leading startup media company. The highly successful first two editions of the startup showcase were held in San Francisco and Palo Alto.
