Learning Korean made easy by yalliyalli

Whether you plan to travel to South Korea as a tourist or for business purposes or want to learn a new language while under the no-social engagement times of COVID-19, check out the ‘yalliyalli’ platform learn Korean. Developed by Korean startup eBridge World, yalliyalli is an AI-based learning platform.

Easy to follow video content for learning

The popularity of K-Pop and K-Drama worldwide has increased interest in the Korean language, which prompted Edutech startup eBridge to develop the platform. Yalliyalli provides learning Korean in 30 different languages to understand this East Asian lingo in your native language. The platform contents have been developed by non-Koreans from their point-of-view based on their own experiences of learning the Korean language for other non-Korean people. The content has about 2530 video-lessons divided into different modules and has a minimum 90-day learning time for the Korean language.

Yalliyalli’s courses are subscription-based as per target users’ needs and offered customized B2B and B2G markets. Yalliyalli’s curriculum also focuses on preparing global learners for government-mandated Korean language proficiency tests. It is designed by foreign resident Heba Mohammed Abdeldam, based on her Yonsei University Ph.D. thesis: “Effective Practices in Korean Language Acquisition for Foreigners.” Yalliyali also offers those proficient in Korean a platform to work as a tutor. Users of over 120 countries currently use Yalliyalli, and eBridge World wants to expand it to more countries. eBridge World also plans to collaborate with local governments, college groups, and private corporations for yalliyalli.

Making e-learning successful globally

eBridge World was founded in South Korea in 2019 with an office in Taiwan and plans for expansion in the USA, UK, and Australia. Besides yalliyalli, eBridge World also has GoPREP service that provides data-based customization services to more than 6 million students preparing for the American college entrance exams (ACT/SAT) globally every year. The company also offers personal tutoring and consulting service CheektoCheck for college students studying at American universities. eBridge World has a diverse team with business experience in the global Edutech industry. The startup’s mission is to expand to serve the learning of other major global languages and college admission exam preparation in other countries, i.e., the UK, Australia, etc.

Ebridge World has attracted investments from startup accelerator JB Ventures in April 2021. Ebridge World got its seed investment from The Invention Lab, an initial investment institution for startups.
