The event began on July 1st, with keynote speeches from Susan Hopgood, President of Education International and Wendy Kopp, CEO and Co-Founder of Teach For All, moderated by Ju Lo Hee, Chairman of the Asian Education Association. “We learned during the pandemic and also post-pandemic that we have to be resilient. We have to overcome the digital divide because otherwise so many of our students will be simply left behind,” said Susan Hopgood. “What really fosters system change we work on collective leadership. Only government leadership is not enough. We need leadership from students, teachers, parents and everyone in the education ecosystem,” said Wendy Kopp.
