In the push for a more sustainable and resilient future, Korean startup FOEL, a Radiative Cooling and Energy Efficiency Innovator, has developed  revolutionary Passive Radiative Cooling (PRC) Solutions, featuring advanced films, panels, and nano coatings. These cutting-edge technologies leverage passive radiative processes to reduce temperatures without energy consumption, offering versatile cooling applications for buildings, vehicles, textiles, and industrial environments.

A Game-Changer in Radiative Cooling for Diverse Applications

As industries face rising energy costs and the urgent need to lower carbon emissions, FOEL’s Passive Radiative Cooling Solutions provide an innovative, zero-energy alternative to traditional cooling systems. By harnessing natural radiative cooling, these solutions—including nano-tech films, panels, and coatings—lower temperatures across various sectors, driving operational efficiency and sustainability.

FOEL’s adaptable technology offers applications across buildings, cold-chain logistics, transportation, industrial facilities, and even personal garments. The advanced nano coating technology enables precise heat dissipation, ensuring scalable, flexible implementation that dramatically cuts energy consumption and carbon footprints.

Innovative Features of FOEL’s Passive Radiative Cooling Solutions

  • Harnessing Natural Radiative Energy: Whether applied as films, panels, or coatings, these solutions block heat from sunlight and the atmosphere while dissipating it into space, offering natural cooling.
  • Advanced Nano Coating Technology: Optimized for efficiency, the products utilize nano coatings that enhance heat dissipation, making them adaptable for various industries and surfaces.
  • Zero Energy Use: No electricity is required, making the cooling process environmentally friendly and cost-effective.

Proven Impact: From Panels and Containers to Wearable Technology

FOEL’s Passive Radiative Cooling Solutions have shown significant promise in real-world applications. For example, when applied as a panel on a refrigerated (reefer) container, the solution lowered the inside temperature by 22.5℉, reduced the roof temperature by 43℉, and achieved a 49% reduction in energy consumption. These panels also translate into impressive savings for refrigerated trucks, reducing cooling costs by up to $361 per vehicle during the summer.

The same technology is adaptable to a wide variety of sectors:

  • Buildings and Infrastructure: Nano-coated panels can reduce rooftop and facade temperatures, minimizing air conditioning use and improving urban cooling strategies.
  • Refrigeration and Cold-Chain Logistics: Applying nano-coated panels to trucks and containers reduces cooling demands, cutting energy usage and costs.
  • Vehicles: Coatings can lower cabin temperatures in vehicles, reducing reliance on air conditioning and lowering fuel consumption.
  • Textiles and Clothing: FOEL’s technology can be incorporated into cooling garments, providing relief in hot environments without the need for powered devices.

Expanding Applications: From Buildings to Wearable Technology

FOEL’s solutions extend far beyond films and panels. With nano coating technology, these applications can be applied to numerous sectors, including:

  • Urban Planning: Cooling rooftops, walls, and windows for urban cooling and energy efficiency.
  • Transportation and Logistics: Reducing fuel consumption by applying cooling panels to trucks, refrigerated containers, and vehicles.
  • Industrial Equipment: Large machines and factory systems can utilize cooling panels to lower operational temperatures, reducing energy consumption.
  • Smart Textiles: Nano coatings in garments offer personal cooling for those in hot climates, reducing the need for energy-intensive personal cooling devices.

Beyond Cooling: A Vision for Sustainable Energy Solutions

FOEL’s Passive Radiative Cooling Solutions are part of the company’s broader vision to harness nano technology for sustainable, energy-efficient solutions that tackle global challenges such as climate change. By reducing reliance on conventional, energy-intensive cooling methods, FOEL offers scalable and adaptable technologies that reduce costs and carbon emissions.
