K-Dramas are quite a lot in demand globally, with many exciting series streaming on international online entertainment platforms. K-Dramas serve audiences all types of genres like romance, comedy, mystery, history, sci-fi, etc.

But if you want to indulge in dramas that show some money crime, business espionage, corporate actions, office politics, employment woes, or office romance, then Koreatechdesk.com has picked out some interesting series that deal with the ‘money games.’

These 10 K-Dramas are available on international OTTs and easily accessible. So the fans of K-Dramas enjoy your free time with some business dramas.

1. Money Game

Money Game

The name itself suggests this K-Drama deals with money. It deals with the situation when the South Korean government fears repeat of the 1997 Asian financial crisis and how a team of 3 from Financial Services Commission and Ministry of Economy and Finance come up with ideas to overcome the crisis. It is a must-watch for those interested in some serious economy and finance drama. It is available on platforms like OnDemandKorea.com and viu.com.

2. The Golden Empire

The Golden Empire

The series is about power struggle among the generation of a business family. It covers the period from 1990 to 2010, where the Chaebol family fights the 1990s IMF financial crisis and becomes a top conglomerate in the country. The family is locked in a power struggle to control the empire. The series is available on viki.com and dramacool.

3. Incarnation of Money

Incarnation of Money

This 2013 South Korean television series available on viki.com is about greed, ambition, and love. Also known as “Money Incarnation,” “Money Demons,” and “The Embodiment of Money,” the Korean drama series is directed by Yu In Sik. It is a story about a boy who grew up in an orphanage and becomes a prosecutor getting involved in various corruption dramas with gamblers, loan sharks, etc. He has a past attached with a murdered tycoon and thus danger to his life as well.

4. History of a Salaryman

If it is murders and corporate espionage you like, then the ‘History of a Salaryman’ is a quirky and murder mystery series to watch. It is made by the same duo of director-writer that made ‘Incarnation of Money.’ The series is about an ordinary salaryman who finds himself involved with corporate spies and rival pharmaceutical companies. It satirizes the historical events during China’s Chu–Han Contention (206-202 B.C.) to become a parody of modern office politics. Watch it on viki.com.

5. Hotel King

The series is about an heiress struggling to keep her 7-star hotel afloat with the help of the general manager, who has ulterior motives of revenge on his father. While the relationship between the two blossoms, they also learn about dark secrets surrounding the death of the late chairman. The series is available on Viki, Asiancrush, and dramacool.

6. Misaeng: Incomplete Life

This is a fun dramedy series about an office intern thrown into the maze of a corporate puzzle. The 2014 series that is streaming on Netflix is based on webtoon series of a similar title. It is an entertaining office drama for those missing office in COVID-19 times.

7. Good Manager or Chief Kim

This is perhaps the most popular of the K-Drama series based on corporate life. Streaming on Netflix, Hulu, and Viki, the series is about a skilled accountant who works for gangsters. He becomes a middle manager at T.Q. Group company. He has to embezzle a large sum of money to fulfill his dream but ends up fighting for his employees’ fundamental rights, quite accidentally.

8. Protect the Boss

Those of you who want some corporate romance stuff – then this series is about a secretary who ends up working for the son of a conglomerate family and their journey of making the good-for-nothing man turn into a decent human being. In this current society, where finding a job is easier said than done, this drama offers job-seekers hope and comfort, says the description on streaming platform Viki.

9. Ms. Temper and Nam Jung gi or My Horrible Boss

If you are talking about bosses and office romance, then this series ‘My Horrible Boss’ is another one to catch up on. Available on Viki, the series is about a hot and cold relationship between a marketing department manager at a cosmetics company and his ill-tempered female-boss.

10. Employment War 1 & 2

This is a fun series with two seasons available on Asiancrush and Amazon Prime. Employment War is a mockumentary-style series about five young men and women looking for a job of their dreams in Seoul. It is a hilarious take on a much serious topic of employment woes.
