In the world of technological development, Korean startup Wayne Hills Ventures Co. Ltd. is striving to develop superior technology that can make information digestible easily and efficiently. The startup is developing software that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to easily take the text-based content to convert it into video format. The startup is also working on a speech to video AI algorithm.

Text to Video content with AI processing

The company’s motto is to create technology that is convenient for people. In 2017 Wayne Hills Ventures started with cognitive search and new technology scenarios based on AI processing and set up “AI Public Cloud SaaS SW”. Wayne Hills Ventures is developing software by applying a series of compliable cognitive technologies to extract knowledge from the content. Through in-depth integration of cognitive abilities, AI.SW technologies such as “image recognition, text keyphrase extraction, text writing emotion analysis” can be done with one click, and this knowledge enables new experiences for data exploration. The company’s current business model is the self-development of original technologies such as AI-based on IT technology, natural language processing based on big data, and data mining.

Alliances & Global Expansion

With its technology, Wayne Hills Ventures has forged many successful alliances with prominent companies.  It is developing digital live books (automatically converting books into digital video content/production tools) through domestic startups and joint venture alliances. In 2019 Wayne Hills Ventures announced that it had signed a patent transfer contract to expand the domestic/overseas creative economy ecosystem and promote a win-win economy by transferring patents for flexible display e-books owned by Samsung Electronics.

Wayne Hills Ventures has also signed a technology business alliance contract with two companies, including Media Content Startup Announcement and Music Content Startup Little Song Music. Little Song Music provides sound sources and media contents that become the source (material) for video production. Wayne Hills Ventures completes them as video contents, secondary works, and distributes them to the media platform.

The startup has a strong team that includes CEO Su Min Yi and AI engineers. Wayne Hills Ventures wants to expand its technology globally and is hopeful of the future where there is more and more interest in video content. Wayne Hills Ventures has attracted an investment of about 1 billion won from POSTECH Holdings, BNK Venture Investment, and Busan Bank, and is preparing to enter the US through the 2020 Bonto Global Project.
