Most fashion brands have different size measures, and when buying fashion from an e-commerce site, customers face issues with correct sizes. Korean startup IMEMINE is developing a personalized untact app SizeMine to measure the size that matches the fashion brand.

Measure the size of different brands with just a click

SizeMine is a solution that can measure size with just one picture using a smartphone. This technology is a full-body scan size measurement system that utilizes anthropometric AI algorithms that allow customers to purchase clothes that fit their size and eventually reduce the return rate. SizeMine applies a technology that uses smartphone out-focusing to create stereoscopic information. SizeMine uses standard physical data with AI learning data and compares them with the photographic image to find differences.

The company is expecting to develop its prototype for beta testing by December 2020. The recent tests of SizeMine have resulted in high accuracy of 97%. IMEMINE is targeting the B2B market with tie-ups with e-commerce sites selling fashion brands.

Price competitiveness and 97% accuracy as USP

By 2022, the world’s e-commerce fashion industry is expected to reach $713 billion, which means more competition even in the segment of size measurement. Already there are players like BodyLabs of the USA, ZOZOSUIT of Japan and MySizeiD of Israel, which have similar service. However, IMEMINE is looking at price competitiveness and an accuracy rate of 97% as its unique selling point. The price that has been currently set for measurement through SizeMine is one dollar per user. IMEMINE is looking at selling the licence to e-commerce platforms as a revenue model. The startup is currently in talks with China’s biggest e-commerce site Alibaba and expects to start business by March 2021.
